Grill Like a Gaucho

Beef Guru Fernando Larroude, will guide you through the preparation and cooking of an authentic Argentine asado, the term used for both a social gathering at a barbecue and a range of grilling and preparation techniques.

The course

Through demonstrations and practical participation, the course will give you a good understanding of the history of the Argentine beef as well as the skills required in cleaning and preparing different cuts of meat, marinades and grilling. You will also have enough to take home to host your very own asado.

This includes:

  • The history of the Argentine beef and the social ritual of asado
  • An overview of the different cuts of beef and other meats
  • Butchery demonstrations with explanations of the different parts
  • Cleaning and tying techniques
  • Marinade recipes and methods
  • Grilling and tasting all the cuts of beef
