This Syrah is a combination of eastern Mendoza grapes, with tones of beeswax and dark fruits, and the bright acidity of Vista Flores in the Uco Valley. The name comes from a very Mendocinian expression, meaning beautiful. Spicy sweet spice and dark fruits, with firm tannin and great structure. Juicy on the finish, with plenty of spice and brightness on the finish.
Meaning ‘view of flowers’, Vista Flores lives up to its name. The wines from here are very distinct, with dark , rich and graphite laden fruits, and an explosion of wild flowers: Roses, violets and lavender. Ripe rich and meaty too. Home to the ‘Clos de los Siete’ project started by a number of Bordeaux families, headed by Michel and Danny Rolland.
Lots of black cherry and sweet spice on the nose, with silky tannin and a lovely purity of fruit. Aged in French oak for 12 months.
